01 · Context

The conversation, summed up.

Dan walked us through JoinCoachDan. The business is not about sponsoring elite college athletes. It is about parents of kids ages five to eighteen learning how to use the new Name, Image and Likeness rules as a tax vehicle, so the money they already spend on their kids' sports becomes deductible business expense.

Entry point is a $19.95 ebook (down from $35 with a coupon code), where $10 of the sale flows back to the young athlete who referred it. That single move builds trust with the parent, funds the kid and puts the buyer inside a funnel Dan can email later with brand partnerships, gift card fundraisers and reverse advertising placements. Domino's and Texas Roadhouse are early partners. About 6,700 distributors are already in the network.

What Dan named on the call is a missing piece of infrastructure. He sells the need, not the product. Right now he does it one parent at a time. What he needs is a system that captures the ebook buyer, follows up automatically, connects each family to the right local brand partner and keeps contracts, compliance and commission splits in order as the network scales. That is where the Genesis agent team fits in.

02 · Aligned Decisions

Five calls we made together.

These are the strategic decisions that landed during the call. Each one shapes what Genesis builds and what stays with Dan's team.

Decision 01

AI agent system runs the operation.

A team of AI agents becomes the central operator handling legal, marketing, brand partnerships and follow-up. Dan stays on strategy and relationships.

Decision 02

Parents keep editing their kids' videos.

Video production stays with the family. Genesis does not touch that piece. Our agents plug into what the parents already produce.

Decision 03

Website, landing pages and CRM get built.

Genesis develops the public surface: the JoinCoachDan site, dedicated landing pages for ebook and fundraiser flows, and the contact management system behind them.

Decision 04

Paid traffic is off the table.

Dan called it: paid traffic is over for this model. The strategy pivots to organic content and influencer placements targeting parents who are already looking for a way to cover sports costs.

Decision 05

Marketplace launches with ebooks only.

Version one of the JoinCoachDan marketplace sells the ebook only. That is the trust anchor. Additional products, apparel, gift cards and reverse advertising placements come after the parent is inside the funnel and the network has data on what actually sells.
